TEKNOS
1948 was the year when an old farm with a hen house was leased for the purposes of paint making in Tuomarila, Espoo (Finland). The hen house was fully renovated, to house the laboratory, production, and shipping facilities, all being the responsibility of just one person
The first product of teknos was casein paint Tuomo, named after the locality of Tuomarila.
Soon thereafter, development began on Ferrex, the world’s first and best water-based metal primer ever created, which is now used globally on cruise lines, offshore platforms, steel structures, and commercial buildings across the planet.
TEKNOS INNOVATION
After the global success of Ferrex, the company expanded its product development group, which over the decades since has led to innovations in all forms of finishes, including anti-microbial and anti-viral latex paints, along with leading-edge technology in both powder and liquid industrial coatings. Sometimes, the product innovations were contrary to past technologies, but the innovations have proven the company's creativity and its employees.

The company that literally began in a hen house, has evolved into an international operation, and one of the world’s largest paint manufacturers, with a sales and manufacturing facilities in 45 countries and on every continent.

Anti-Graffiti Coatings
Anti-graffiti coatings enable easier cleaning.
To facilitate removing unwanted graffiti, They have developed both wet and powder coatings with anti-graffiti properties. Anti-graffiti coatings form a dense protective film that withstands solvent-based graffiti removers and prevents the graffiti from penetrating deep into the surface. The film also has a slippery finish which aids in the removal of graffiti and it can endure several cleaning cycles. They offer anti-graffiti solutions for both powder coating and wet painting processes. Anti-graffiti coatings provide the most significant benefits to structures in public places such as trains, bus stops, trash cans, and bridges.
